The Founders
Benno and Klazina Dobbe, founders of Holland America Bulb Farms, Inc., immigrated to the United States in 1980 with their three young children. They discovered beautiful Woodland, Washington was the perfect location to establish their bulb farm. They started growing and importing tulips, daffodils, irises, and lilies.

While starting with a small operation, Benno's vision has always been "With quality the sky is the limit!" This philosophy has guided him to the present time.

Today Benno and family operate several international companies: Holland America Bulb Farms, Inc., Woodland, WA, the mother company, focuses on the import and wholesale of flower bulbs and cut flowers. Dobbe Farms, LLC in Woodland, WA, specializes in bulb and flower growing. Royal Dutch Flower Gardens, LLC in Woodland, WA, provides retail sales of flower, bulbs, and specialty gift items. All Seasons Flowers, LLC, in Nipomo, CA., grows and ships wholesale cut flowers and bouquets through all of the U.S.A.

For years Holland America has received visitors from around the world, many coming in the spring to see the breathtaking tulip fields in bloom. To see such beauty reminds one of the saying, "What is paradise but a garden in bloom".

Through our retail gift store, open all year, visitors can acquire the same bulbs and flowers from our family farms in Washington and California that we ship year-round to outlets throughout the United States.
